The annual Father’s Trip, which is happening for today and tomorrow for the game in Washington, is always a special time for players and their dads. This year’s trip, however, may mean a little bit more for Predators forward Brian McGrattan and his father Tom. This is the first NHL team Brian has been on that has done a Father’s Trip; and considering his ups and downs before his stop Nashville, it’s going to be a special trip.“I think it’s good to give back to them for all of the work and sacrifice that they’ve made for us to get here,” Brian said of the trip. “It hasn’t been an easy road for them with the stress that we put on them – am I going to make it, am I going to get sent down? I’m here, I’m there and living in all of these different places – they kind of get roped along.
