Found April 28, 2012 on NY Rangers Blog:
I wanted to keep all my posts today about the Rangers/Capitals series, but how could I not post this amazing pic of Dylan McIlrath (2010-1st) absolutely laying out an Edmonton Oil King player in Game 4 of the WHL Eastern Conference Finals Wednesday night.Jesse Rubenstein at The Prospect Park, who provided the pic, says that McIlrath has shown maturity and a growing confidence in his own play recently.McIlrath's Moose Jaw Warriors team was eliminated from the playoffs by Michael St. Croix's (2011-4th) Edmonton Oil Kings last night by the score of 4-1. St. Croix chipped in with his fifth goal of the playoffs....i've been a little down on McIlrath lately as his constant head shots on opponents and his slow development have me frustrated. But after seeing this pic, I have a renewed enthusiasm for the rugged blueliner....with his WHL season now over, he'll likely be headed to Hartford to join the CT Whale in the playoffs. Hopefully he'll get some playing time which wi...

Postgame: Rangers Eliminate Senators, Advance to Semis to Face Caps

And the magical season lives on. As stated in the pregame, it was only proper that this blow-for-blow Eastern Conference Quarterfinal series between the New York Rangers and Ottawa Senators was decided by a Game 7. As John Tortorella said in his postgame presser, the first round can sometimes be the most difficult. The Senators, although seeded eighth, surely gave the Rangers a...

Breaking down the goals from ECSF Game One

The Rangers opened up the series with a 301 win over the Capitals at MSG. This was one of those games that saw it all: great goaltending, offense, defense, and penalty killing. The powerplay was lacking for both sides, but that’s what happens in this kind of game. Here’s the scoring: 1-0 Rangers There’s not much to be said on this goal but dumb luck. Artem Anismov picked up...

Rangers Never Doubted Themselves

Dave Lozo at NHL.com has this quote from Marc Staal after last night's Game 7 win on the Rangers confidence after losing Game 5 to go down 3-2 in the series..."I don't think anybody in this room doubted for a second that we'd come back. We were still confident going into Game 6. We knew we had to get that game to get it back here, and we'd have a good shot of...

Breaking Down Rangers vs. Capitals Semifinal Series

Unfortunately with the Eastern Conference Semifinals beginning just two days after the New York Rangers eliminated the Ottawa Senators in Game 7 of the quarterfinals, time is limited on what I can bring you as far as preview material goes. Practice Notes: Dubinsky on Crutches; Boyle Progressing

Andrew Gross at the Bergen Record reports that Brandon Dubinsky (lower body) was not on the ice for today's optional practice, but was seen  slowly getting around the Rangers' practice facility on crutches....in previous years, the possibility of losing Dubinsky long term would be a scary thought, but, to be honest, I don't think it would have that negative an affect...

The main difference is the seeding of...
