The Lightning are set to continue their five game home stand tonight against the Philadelphia Flyers. Fresh off a less than inspiring victory over the Ottawa Senators, the Lightning are going to need a much better effort tonight if they have any desire to walk away with two points. Sitting with three wins through four games, the Bolts have a chance to get the season started on a bit of a roll ag...

Matt Read notched his first career hat trick -- and thought it came pretty easily.
Read helped Philadelphia beat the Florida Panthers 7-1 on Saturday night, the Flyers' second straight win after losing their first three games of the season. Wayne Simmonds, Tye McGinn, Luke Schenn, and Ruslan Fedotenko also scored for the Flyers, and Ilya Bryzgalov had 30 saves.
Per the Flyers there is absolutely NO truth whatsoever to any trade involving Sean Couturier for PK Subban at this time. There is noting to it. The Rumor is not real. The Flyers will NOT move Couturier for Subban. source: "Absolutely Not. No Way."
More to come

It's not like Peter Laviolette or even his player to use excuses for losing.
You can come up with a couple of easy reasons why the FLyers were going to lose in Tampa Bay, starting with back to back games and finishing with 6 games in 9 days.
Or how about ... the Lightning right now is a better team? Period.
What is starting to bother me, however, is that the players...

Hovinen, chosen by the Minnesota Wild in the fifth round of the 2006 draft, signed a two-year, entry...

After picking up their first win of the season against the Rangers a few days ago, the Flyers traveled to Florida to take on the Panthers. Philadelphia came out swinging and would eventually embarrass their opponents, taking out Florida 7-1. Matt Read would be the hero of the night, picking up a well earned hat…
