Buffalo Sabres goaltender Ryan Miller was named the NHL's First Star of the Week on Monday.
Miller recorded back-to-back shutouts en route to winning all three of his starts last week. He stopped all 43 shots in a 2-0 win over Anaheim on Wednesday and denied 39 chances in a 1-0 victory over San Jose. He capped his week by besting Vancouver on Saturday.
Detroit Red Wings defenseman Niklas Kronwall was named the league's second star after recording two goals and five assists last week.
Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Ray Emery was the league's third star after yielding just one goal in all three wins last week.
