General manager Jim Rutherford said this week that restructuring the Canes' back end is a top priority for next season. Rutherford mentioned bringing back Anton Babchuk. He talked about possibly signing Brian Pothier. He talked about the promise of Jamie McBain. So what's the best path for the Canes? Do they need Babchuk? Should they look to make a trade? Should Pothier be a part of the future? Another free agent? A stay-at-home banger to provide some grit Tim Gleason said was lacking? Or let the young guys play? The floor is open.
