from Eric Stephens of the Ducks Blog, Meetings, meetings and more meetings.
The Ducks seem to be full of them at the moment. They’ve been one-on-one on the ice and, most recently, in the coach’s office. They’ve been as an entire group in the dressing room.
The problem is teams that have a lot of meetings is a sure sign that there are problems to be sorted out. And the bottom line is the Ducks’ current horrific 2-8-4 stretch speaks to the amount of issues that are apparent.
“When you lose, you try to figure out things and obviously a lot more attention [is paid] to little details when you’re losing,” Ducks center Saku Koivu said. “That’s just the way it goes. The same thing happens everywhere. We’re all trying to figure out a way of getting things back to winning and back where we have to be.”

ANAHEIM, Calif. The Anaheim Ducks announced Friday that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned left wing Jean-Francois Jacques to the Syracuse Crunch, Anaheims primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

from Steve Simmons of the Toronto Sun, • An educated guess: If the Anaheim Ducks continue to struggle, don’t be surprised if Randy Carlyle winds up as the leading candidate to replace Ron Wilson as Leafs coach at the end of this season. And GM Bob Murray has to be regretting the three-year extension he gave Carlyle late last season… Strange thing about the Ducks: They had the...
A night after the Los Angeles Kings edged the Anaheim Ducks in a shootout that seemed to feature missed opportunities on both sides, the two teams completed their home-and-home series in a game that featured eight goals, 74 shots, two shorthanded goals, two power play goals and a 17-minute delay when the Honda Center lights didn't feel like emerging from the locker room after...
Yahoo! Sports has a site called The Post Game which is an entertaining mix of sports and pop culture, and I had a chance to contribute a piece today in which Bobby Ryan of the Anaheim Ducks reviews "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1."
From a hockey perspective, it was interesting to hear that Ryan attended the premiere this week with members of the Los Angeles Kings...
The lowest scoring team in the NHL so far this season is the Anaheim Ducks. Their 2.0 goals per game is the lowest total in the NHL right now (that does not include “phantom” goals for shootout wins).
Anaheim is off to a poor start this season. They have the fourth worst record with 6 wins and 13 losses. Four of those losses gave them regulation tie points to give them...
So as a Duck fan, where are you in the stages of death and dying for your team? Denial? Anger? Bargaining? Depression? Acceptance? As the season continues in the muck and mire and what appears to be a fighting chance at the number one draft pick in June, I am personally getting pretty close to acceptance. Nearly a fourth of the way into the season and the Ducks have a...

There's probably no greater exclamation point for a spectacular save than a premature celebration.
Bobby Ryan of the Anaheim Ducks thought he had a goal in the second period Sunday night against the Detroit Red Wings, raising his arms in the air. Jimmy Howard's glove had other ideas.
Ryan Getzlaf fired the puck on goal, it hit Corey Perry — who, in turn, appeared to bump...

The Detroit Red Wings will try to close a road trip with consecutive wins when they visit the sliding Anaheim Ducks tonight at the Honda Center.
Bobby Ryan celebrates, but a little too early.
