Game of the night:

Records:

Last 10: Blackhawks (6-4-0) … Blues (7-1-2)
Season Series: 1-0 Blues

Players to watch:
CHI- Duncan Keith
Keith has had an up and down season, but is logging a lot of ice time recently.
STL- David Backes
Backes, who has been offensively consistent of late, always raises the intensity against Chicago.

Starting goaltenders:
CHI- Ray Emery (2011-12 stats: 3-1-1, 3.52 GAA)
STL- Brian Elliott (2011-12 stats: 10-1-0, 1.31 GAA)

Injury report:
CHI- None
STL- David Perron (concussion, probable), Carlo Colaiacovo (lower body, out), Andy McDonald (concussion, out), Evgeny Grachev (eye, out), Kent Huskins (ankle, out), B.J. Crombeen (scapula, out)

Game thoughts:
This should be an interesting battle in St. Louis tonight, as both clubs played last night. Ken Hitchcock has turned the Blues around, while Joel Quenneville’s Blackhawks aren’t playing their best hockey of the season. If ‘Q’ turns to Emery in net, the Blues will have a decisive advantage. Add in the fact that Backes and company have been great at home this year, and I think Hitchcock’s success continues.
Prediction: Blues 3, Blackhawks 2

The rest of today’s predictions:
Canadiens over Kings
Bruins over Maple Leafs
Capitals over Senators
Penguins over Hurricanes
Devils over Jets
Lightning over Rangers
Sabres over Predators
Coyotes over Flyers
Stars over Islanders
Oilers over Flames
Sharks over Panthers
