Injury report:
NYR- Steve Eminger (leg, questionable), Ruslan Fedotenko (head, out), Michael Sauer (concussion, out)
PIT- Sidney Crosby (concussion, out), Tyler Kennedy (ankle, out)

Three things to watch:
1. Rangers’ success in Pittsburgh
The Penguins have struggled against their rivals in the new arena. One of them is the Rangers, who have won all four games in Consol Energy Center thus far. Overall, John Tortorella’s club has grabbed five straight victories in the Steel City. Henrik Lundqvist has started all five of those games, posting a .953 save percentage in the process. To pour fuel on the fire, the Rangers are 8-1-1 in their last 10 road games.
2. Pittsburgh’s special teams
Since the All-Star break, both special teams units have been clicking for the Penguins. The penalty kill has gone 29-for-31 (93.5%) since the break; the two goals surrendered had no impact on the game’s outcome. Meanwhile, the power play is 7-for-24 (29.2%) in the last eight games.
3. Jordan Staal getting warm
Staal has looked really good since returning from his knee injury. In the five games since his return he has racked up six points. Moreover, Staal has scored four times, including three straight games coming into tonight. The Pens will need him to continue this offensive output as the second half rolls on.

Final thought: The Blueshirts have certainly been road warriors lately, but I sense Pittsburgh will finally figure them out on home-ice. Dan Bylsma will have his team ready after a 6-2 loss in Buffalo on Sunday. This should be a good one. Prediction: Penguins 3, Rangers 2 (SO)

The rest of today’s predictions:
Sabres over Islanders
Maple Leafs over Devils
Sharks over Blue Jackets
Jets over Flyers
Canadiens over Stars
Ducks over Lightning
Predators over Canucks
Blackhawks over Red Wings
Flames over Oilers
Coyotes over Kings
