The Morning After:
Yesterday’s results:
Ducks 4, Blues 2
Predictions record: 1-0

RLD 3 stars of the night:
1. Bobby Ryan, ANA (2 goals, 1 assist)
2. Francois Beauchemin, ANA (1 goal, 1 assist)
3. Corey Perry, ANA (1 goal)
---

Tonight’s slate:
Avalanche @ Maple Leafs, 7:00 ET

Ducks @ Sharks, 10:30

Game of the night:
Anaheim Ducks (3-1-0) @ San Jose Sharks (1-2-0)
10:30 ET… TV: Local Networks

Players to watch:
ANA- Bobby Ryan
Ryan starred last night against the Blues. Will that success carry over to tonight?
SJ- Joe Thornton
‘Jumbo Joe’ has zero points in three games. Will he finally get on the stat sheet?

Starting goaltenders:
ANA- Jonas Hiller (2011-12 stats: 3-1-0, 1.71 GAA)
SJ- Antti Niemi (2010-11 stats: 35-18-6, 2.38 GAA)

Injury report:
ANA- Matt Beleskey (shoulder, questionable), Jason Blake (wrist, out), Matt Smaby (thumb, out)
SJ- Colin White (undisclosed, questionable), Martin Havlat (shoulder, out), Antero Niittymaki and Frazer McLaren (hip, out)

Game thoughts:
Three days after meeting up in SoCal, the Ducks and Sharks will once again faceoff – this time in San Jose. Jonas Hiller and company doubled up St. Louis last night, 4-2, while the Sharks lost by the same score to the Blues on Saturday. The Ducks are winners of three straight; the Sharks are losers of two straight. I like Team Teal tonight, partly because Antti Niemi is expected to be back between the pipes.
Prediction: Sharks 3, Ducks 2

The rest of today’s predictions:
Maple Leafs over Avalanche
Lightning over Panthers
Penguins over Jets
Predators over Oilers
---
