EDMONTON – Peter Mueller indeed won’t play tonight. Avs are adamant it’s a torso injury, not a concussion. I’m not disputing it. Of course, I’m unable to talk with Mueller himself, nor him to me, because it’s a strict team rule that injured players not speak to media. Matt Duchene won’t play tonight, but his status has been upgraded to day-to-day. Sounds like there is a slight chance now he might play in Winnipeg Sunday. I still think it’ll be at home coming off the road trip that he’ll return, but let’s see what tomorrow brings. Mark Olver will skate at left wing tonight on a line with O’Reilly and Landeskog. Landy moves from the left to right side. Interesting. See you tonight for a live chat of the game.

Colorado Avalanche: Untouchables

As the NHL trade deadline looms, every player is undoubtedly aware of the February 27th date.  For many players, they will call new cities home in two weeks' time, don a different jersey, have their paychecks signed by a different team and ultimately, try to help that team win.  For every other player, they will likely have a slightly new-look team as their teammates...

Pregame Avs-Jets notes

Doug Pensinger/Getty Images WINNIPEG – I would post video of Matt Duchene talking at the skate this morning, but because of the ridiculous rates charged to have your phone on in this country, I will not. Duchene makes his return tonight, at left wing on a line with Stastny and Hejduk. Peter Mueller has been placed on injured reserve retroactive to Feb. 11 to make room for Duchene...
