On July 5, it appears forwards Chris Mueller and Brandon Yip will hit the free agent market. At the end of draft day, Joshua Cooper of The Tennessean reported on Twitter David Poile will not re-sign unrestricted free agent Mueller and  Yip. Certainly, this is not a surprising development since they seem to have no real future anymore in the Nashville Predators' organization. Yip was acquired from the Colorado Avalanche during the 2011-12 season after not scoring a single point in ten games. Since becoming a Predator, Yip has played in 59 games in two seasons totaling fifteen points (6g, 9a). As a fourth line forward who was in-and-out of the lineup every night, Yip worked hard. Unfortunately, he was unnoticeable in many of his games. Mueller is going on his fourth year in the Predators' organization, but that will abrupt promptly once July 5 rolls around. Signed as free agent two days after Christmas in 2010, Mueller has spent most of his professional career in the AHL with the Milwaukee Admirals. In 37 career NHL games with Nashville, the West Seneca, NY native has scored eight points (2g, 6a). (Photos by Getty Images)
