Someone on the Law and Order: SVU staff must be a hockey fan. How else would you explain a random shout-out to Buffalo Sabres winger and former Boston College standout Nathan Gerbe? In a recent episode, a character explains to detectives that a missing baby was named after Gerbe, adding that "he leads the Sabres in penalty minutes." It doesn't appear that the detectives on "SVU" are huge hockey fans, though.
