When you have Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Jordan Staal, and Marc-Andre Fleury you don't need to do a whole lot to fill out your roster. Especially after winning the cup. I say you try and keep that team together as much as possible and Ray Shero agrees with me (because great minds think alike). After locking up Billy Guerin and Craig Adams while losing Hal Gill, Shero went out and signed a tough, gritty, fourth line guy with a cup ring already on his resume.It sure doesn't seem like a major move but for me, being so close to the Erie Otters, seeing Mike Rupp in a Pens uniform is a big deal. I loved Rupp when he was playing in Erie with Brad Boyes, Nikita Alexeev, and Carlo Colaiacovo, to name a few.It also doesn't hurt that I went to school with Rupp's wife. I know that doesn't mean too much but it is kinda cool.
