Adam Foote, drafted 22nd overall in the 1989 NHL entry draft by the Quebec Nordiques, has worn the jersey number 52 for his entire stellar NHL career. The right-shooting defenseman found his way on NHL ice for the first time during the 1991-92 season. The 1992-93 campaign would seem him play a full slate of games, racking up a +6 in the +/- column, to go along with almost three hours worth of penalties (168 minutes in total during the regular season).

Foote would play with the Nordiques/Avalanche franchise from age 20 to 32. The 2005-06 campaign would see Foote pull on a Columbus Blue Jackets sweater, still with the number 52 on it however. He would spend a brief two and a half years with Columbus, before heading "home" to the Colorado Avalanche during the 2007-08 season.

Adam has continued to play for the Avalanche through the 2009-10 season, his 18th in the NHL.
For his career, he has racked up 234 assists, with 300 points overall during his regular seasons. He was a member of the Colorado Avalanche Stanley Cup Championship teams during the 1995-96 and 2000-01 seasons, and has 42 career playoff points.
