The league has made their decision on Nick Boynton and the gesture he made after a fight. The NHL has decided to suspend Boynton for one regular season game.
As reported earlier, Boynton made a throat-slashing gesture after a fight with Tampa Bay Lightning forward Blair Jones. The league says that it was confirmed that Boynton made the gesture at Jones, which is frowned upon.
Boynton received a game misconduct for the gesture.
The one game suspension will bring with it the loss of a game cheque. Boynton will forfeit $2,688 which will go to the players’ emergency assistance fund.
