The trade market has finally begun in the National Hockey League mainly thanks to the Boston Bruins to relieve some salary cap pressure. In the last week there has been 3 relevantly important trades that have helped teams in the West get stronger and allow the Bruins to welcome back Marc Savard. With the NHL Christmas trade freezing fast approaching as well as teams being a quarter way through their season it made sense that a few trades have taken place. General Managers of all NHL teams now have a solid understanding of where there teams stands and areas where improvement are needed in order for them to make a playoff and Stanley cup drive.
