It's been quite an offseason for Dany Heatley and the Ottawa Senators. After a disappointing 2008-09 campaign that saw the team miss the playoffs for the first time in 11 years, Heatley, the best player on a team starving for offense, requested a trade. Shocking, yes. No matter, general manager Bryan Murray worked to move the disgruntled winger and eventually came to an agreement with the Edmonton Oilers that would have sent Heatley out west for Andrew Cogliano, Dustin Penner and Ladislav Smid. The problem? Heatley didn't want to play in Edmonton, either, proving that, yes, beggers can be choosers.
