Found July 22, 2013 on Fox Sports West:
Restricted free-agent forward Jordan Nolan has agreed to terms on a two-year deal with the Kings, the team announced Sunday. With the agreement, Nolan will avoid arbitration, which had been scheduled for Aug. 1. Nolan's contract is worth 1.4 million, sources told The Times. Nolan, 24, who was part of the Kings' 2012 Stanley Cup championship team, had six points (two goals and four assists) in 44 games last season. He also appeared in seven postseason games. Selected 186th overall by the Kings in the 2009 draft, Nolan has 10 points in 70 games with the Kings. With Nolan returning, forwards Trevor Lewis and Kyle Clifford remain the Kings' restricted free agents. Lewis has an arbitration meeting scheduled for Aug. 2. The team's acquisition of tough guy Daniel Carcillo from the Chicago Blackhawks casts doubt on whether the Kings are planning to keep Clifford, who hasn't filed for arbitration.

Jason Lewis: Debate Time: Lewis or Clifford?

After the recent resigning of forward Jordan Nolan to a two-year, $1.4M contract, it left just two players to re-sign for general manager Dean Lombardi. One of those players is Trevor Lewis, the other is Kyle Clifford. Now it seems that the Kings current cap situation leaves a meager $1.57M dollars to work with in retaining both players. It would take some shifty maneuvering...

Kings Creating A Dynasty

Far too often in sports teams completely rebuild the franchise, hiring and firing General Managers, coaches, and players regardless of track record. After earning the 3-seed in the Western Conference, the Nuggets fired NBA Coach of the Year George Karl, lost a franchise player in Andre Iguodala, and found themselves with a new GM. All of this after one of the most successful seasons...

Yesterday, just a few days after the NHL and NHLPA announced that it would allow players to take part in the 2014 Sochi Olympics, camp invites were sent out to a select group of players.
