One of the criticisms of Sean Avery across the league is his worth as a fighter, so Greg Wyshyski at Puck Daddy went out of his way to find "The 7 Sean Avery fights that aren't completely terrible" using the HockeyFights.com ranking system. Including this one which is a personal favorite of mine against Darcy Tucker which lands at #5... ...haters going to hate. Avery has one purpose to all his fights which is to get the opposing team off their game. And by the reaction around the league he's done a pretty damn good job.Speaking of Avery, how awesome was his goal last night... Finally, you would think with Larry Brooks all over Avery the New York Post wouldn't make this mistake.Remember to follow me on Twitter & Facebook or e-mail me at nyrfan94@yahoo.com.

Sean Avery’s Goal From Win Over The Hurricanes

… a nice pass that led to a very nice goal, and one the Rangers needed.  Is it just me or was Avery saying something to Michael Del Zotto and looking disgusted as he skated away and shook his head? Check out the video.

The 7 Sean Avery fights that aren’t completely terrible

The Seven is an arbitrary list of randomly connected hockey subjects that will run every Thursday on Puck Daddy. Agree to disagree. When the New York Rangers and the Pittsburgh Penguins played earlier this week, Sean Avery and Tyler Kennedy had two altercations — a scrum and a fight. The fight earned a 3.9 rating from the punditry at HockeyFights.com. In fact, Avery has had 15...
