Well, Stortini cleared waivers this morning and will be adding a huge level of grit and intensity to the Milwaukee Admirals line-up as that is where Nashville is sending him. Below you’ll find the official press release from the team: “Nashville, Tenn. (October 12, 2011) – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that forward Zack Stortini has cleared waivers and been assigned to Milwaukee (AHL). Stortini, 26 (9/11/85), made his Predators debut in Saturday night’s 4-2 victory at St. Louis, logging 4:53 and recording seven penalty minutes. The Nashville Predators kick off their home season this Thursday, Oct. 13 when they take on the Phoenix Coyotes (7 p.m. on SportSouth – Comcast channel 284 HD, 102.5 The Game) at Bridgestone Arena. The fun begins at 4 p.m. when all Nashville Predators players, coaches and broadcasters walk the gold carpet with select season ticketholders. After the carpet walk, a plaza party begins will take place up until game time. All those in attendance at Thursday’s game will receive a free opening night t-shirt courtesy of Nissan.
