The Edmonton Oilers have named the Oil Kings' GM as their director of amateur free agent scouting. Bob Green the WHL's Executive of the Year in 2011-12 and 2012-13 will help identify and recruit NCAA Canadian Hockey League and some European free agents. He'll also be involved in making a free agent priority list. The 52-year-old Green has been the GM of the WHL's Edmonton Oil Kings for the past six seasons. The Kings made it to the WHL finals each of the last two seasons.
