The Edmonton Oilers are stacking their best young players together in an attempt to generate more offense. The Oilers had No. 1 overall pick Ryan Nugent-Hopkins centering Taylor Hall and Jordan Eberle in practice, and will likely put the trio together for the start of Saturday's game against the Vancouver Canucks. The three played together in a pre-season game, and will be looked upon to provide an offensive spark for a team that has just two regulation goals through the first two games of the season.Nugent-Hopkins scored his first career NHL goal in the team's season-opening win over Pittsburgh last week. Hall assisted on the marker, while Eberle had a helper on Ryan Smyth's goal in a loss to Minnesota earlier this week.
