It's Always Sunny in Detroit:
Edmonton Oilers stud youngin’ Taylor Hall was working on his game and decided to throw a quick video on Instagram to show people just how good his stickhandling is. In his words, he was just “working on his mitts.” While Hall doesn’t qualify as Datsyukian yet, he is off to a decent start. Despite missing 20+ games in his first two years, the first overall pick of the 2010 NHL Draft has averaged 0.85 points a game. Thanks to reader Jeff

Taylor Hall was a No. 1 draft pick just a few years ago, so it should probably go without saying that he has some pretty impressive skill. The extent of that skill, however, is hard to actually fathom. So that’s why when he does things like stickhandle with a golf ball, we’re still blown away by just how crazy-talented he, and really the rest of professional athletes, actually...

Before the Los Angeles Kings went on their unprecedented run to the Stanley Cup in 2012-13, the last eighth-seed to make it to the Stanley Cup Finals was the Edmonton Oilers in 2005-06.
Unfortunately, that was the last time the fans in Oil country sniffed the playoffs.
After the departure of Chris Pronger, the Oilers went from 95 points and...
from Jim Matheson of the Edmonton Journal,
Everybody around the league knows Hemsky is talented, although he only had 20 points in 38 games last yearin part because of a broken foot; the question is how many games he’ll play. He’s missed 108 the last four years. He doesn’t play on the periiphery; he goes into danger zones; trouble is he often gets wall-papered for his...
