In two games without Shea Weber, the rest of the defense has performed admirably in stepping as a unit. One defenseman that has stood out in that time has been Jonathon Blum. He was reassigned to Milwaukee on December 12th, and was recalled a week later. Blum stated at the time that he used that demotion as a motivation.
