According to a report published two days ago by the Edmonton Journal, the Philadelphia Flyers have shown interest in 23-year-old forward Rob Schremp, who could be available in a trade with the Oilers. Schremp re-signed with Edmonton on a one-year, two-way contract which will allow him to earn $715,000 in the National Hockey League, and $70,000 in the American Hockey League. Here is an excerpt from the Edmonton Journal article: "Schremp could have signed for less than $715,000 to make him more marketable to somebody else-the Philadelphia Flyers have also been sniffing around, but don't have a lot of salary-cap room-but his two-way deal makes him attractive." With the Oilers glut of forwards, Schremp has been caught up in a numbers game in which he has lost.
