Ohio State 9-0 (5-0 BIG 10) gave another dominant performance in their shut-out win against Purdue 1-7 (0-4 BIG 10). The Buckeyes denied the Boilermakers any points, winning 56-0. Braxton Miller was efficient passing the ball Saturday afternoon, going 19 of 23 for 233 yards and 4 TDs. The Buckeyes are possibly facing another undefeated season and another pass at a National Championship...
It looks as if Ohio State is beating up on the Big Ten, but that's actually backward. The truth is this:
The Big Ten is killing Ohio State.
The Buckeyes can't win in this conference. They beat Purdue 56-0 Saturday, and this just happened to be one of those moments when a 56-0 win actually is a loss.
Ohio State could have won by whatever score coach Urban Meyer wanted....
Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller rolled out to the far side of the field and was looking for a wide receiver to throw to. When he couldn’t find one that was open, he started to scramble and at the last second, he flipped the ball to his wide receiver who was wide open in the end zone. Plays like these show why Miller is such a dangerous football player.
The saying goes that those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. With that in mind, Ohio State went into Ross-Ade Stadium on Saturday fully aware of the Buckeyes' recent struggles in West Lafayette. The result, then, was a blowout win going the other way.
Currently 9-0 and with the nation’s largest winning streak at 21 games the Ohio State Buckeyes are having trouble getting past 4th in the A.P and BCS polls. It seems that a down year for the BIG 10 Conference combined with the continued and justified love for the SEC is hurting Ohio State’s case to be considered for the BCS National Championship. Here are a few factors to consider when making an argument for the Buckeyes.
1. They could end the season winning 25 straight (currently owns the longest win streak).
2. Alabama, Oregon or...
Texas A&M's Johnny Manziel and Ohio State's Braxton Miller headline a list of 16 semifinalists for the Davey O'Brien Award, which is awarded to the best quarterback in the nation.
Manziel, who won the award in 2012, is trying to become only the fourth player in history to win the award twice. BYU's Ty Detmer (1990 and 1991), Florida's Danny Wuerffel (1995...
Taking care of a few things here today, first and foremost. Ohio State is now 9 – 0, 21 and 0 total on the win loss record. the magic number is three. I was not able to see today’s game because it was on the Big Ten Network. It is the one frustration living overseas. Waking up to the awesome news of a 56 – 0 spanking of Purdue was more than wonderful news...
The Ohio State Buckeyes traveled to Ross-Ade Stadium to take on the Purdue Boilermakers on Saturday and quite a few fans followed them to say the least. The Buckeyes scored four first quarter touchdowns to take a 28-0 lead and the mostly Buckeye crowd loved it. It’s pretty sad how much red is in that stadium.

Ohio State landed one of the nation's top 2014 prospects in D'Angelo Russell. Here's a highlight reel of the five-star prospect at adidas Nations.
It was a banner day for Jeff Heuerman and the Ohio State tight ends against Purdue. Heuerman had one of the best days in recent memory when it came to receiving while Nick Vannett added his first career score as the Buckeyes' offense continued to spread the ball around.
