PLAYERS: Jori Lehtera
With the return of the NHL less than a week away we’ve turned our anger for abandonment into anticipation for seeing moves like this. For the past few months, our only outlet for contemporary hockey highlights was to venture overseas, where a good slice of European NHL players migrated to during the lockout. With that, the NHL players are all but settled in back in the states, but the overseas highlights still keep rolling in, literally, watch this clip. Jori Lehtera at the KHL All-Star game pulling a Houdini on Rastislav Stana, who played a season with the Washington Capitols.

Awesome Penalty Shot by Jori Lehtera in KHL All-Star Game (Video)

The NHL is starting their 48-game schedule on January 19, 2013 and ending on April 27, 2013, with no inter-conference games.  So this is clearly the last time I will have a chance to post something about hockey that isn't happening in the NHL.  Check out this crazy penalty shot goal during the Kontinental Hockey League All-Star game.  Finnish hockey player Jori Lehtera stunned...

Unbelievable KHL All-Star Penalty Shot

Jori Lehtera put an end to the “you miss 100% of the shots you never take” motivational garbage. Goal of the year? '08 Blues pick dazzles in KHL ASG

The NHL regular season is just a few days away, but we might have already seen the best goal of the year. During Sunday's Kontinental Hockey League All-Star game, 2008 Blues draft pick and Sibir Novosibirsk forward Jori Lehtera left goalie Rastislav Stana completely flummoxed with his incredible penalty shot goal. Here's hoping the NHL brings us some more incredible goals...

Incredible shootout goal from KHL

After watching Pavel Datsyuk dazzle in the shootout during the skills competition on Saturday, Novosibirsk Siber forward Jori Lehtera had this fantastic move during his penalty shot on Sunday.  The goalie assumed that when he put the puck through his legs that he would pull the puck far side, and he paid for it.  This was a fantastic and unique move that you might see more of...

Have We Seen Every Penalty Shot Now...???

((HT: KHL)) The HQ will admit that we watch hockey rather religiously- regardless of level because we like it when skilled players put the biscuit in the basket... The KHL All-Star Game finished up 18-11 for the west, which is about par for the course in these things... But, we'll admit that we have now seen every alternative for penalty shots that we could possibly...
