What a game. That's what playoff hockey is all about. Sucks that the B's lost but it's only Game 1. It took a double deflection to beat Rask in triple OT. If Game 1 is any indication this series is going to kill us all. Lots of back and forth action. Lots of great chances on both sides. Worst part of the game? HOW THE HELL DO YOU MISS THAT SHOT DAUGAVINS!?!? HOW?!?!?!?! Whatever. We're tired. BRING ON GAME 2!!!! - Lucic continues to be an absolute BEAST in these playoffs. Two goals and an assist. Hey Looch, let's make a deal. If you promise to always play like this in the playoffs we'll promise to not give a **** how you play in the regular season. Deal? - As pretty much EVERYONE pointed out on Twitter, the Blackhawks already have more goals than the Penguins did against the Bruins. That's what happens when you play against a good team. The Blackhawks are a really good team. - Krejci killing the NHL in the playoffs. KIL...

Bruins' Horton set to play in Game 2

Boston Bruins forward Nathan Horton said he's ready to skate in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final on Saturday night at United Center. Just as crucial, his coach agreed hours before the puck dropped. "He feels really good, "Bruins coach Claude Julien said. "He looked really good out there, the last two days. There's absolutely no reason he shouldn't play...

Jaromir Jagr’s Wolverine Playoff Beard with Moustache

Boston Bruins forward Jaromir Jagr has grown one of the most epic playoff beards of the playoffs.  Jagr seems to be channeling his inner Wolverine, but added a moustache in with the mutton chops.  Nothing says ready for the Stanley Cup Finals like rocking this beard. [Boston Barstool]

No Update On Nathan Horton Injury

from Joe McDonald of ESPN Boston, "Nothing right now because there's nothing to say because our doctors haven't finalized the evaluation properly," Julien said. During a Bruins power play in the first overtime, a scramble ensued in front of the Chicago net, and Horton was battling for position with Blackhawks defenseman Niklas Hjalmarsson when he appeared...

Torey Krug’s shine has worn off, but should he be benched?

Going into Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final, the Bruins coaching staff will be faced with a decision that they probably never envisioned having to make – to bench rookie defenseman Torey Krug, or not to bench rookie defenseman Torey Krug? The 22-year old Krug burst onto the scene for the Bruins during their Eastern Conference Semifinals series against the Rangers, during which Krug...

Nathan Horton re-aggravates left shoulder injury during Game 1, status unknown

Nathan Horton left the first overtime of Wednesday’s Game 1 after suffering a pretty strange, non-contact injury while in front of the Blackhawks net. Horton appeared to injure his left shoulder while jostling with Niklas Hjalmarsson in front of the net towards the end of the first OT in Chicago. The Bruins forward didn’t return to the game and Claude Julien declined to give...

Here We Go Again: CLASSLESS Blackhawks Fans Tweeting #Chicagostronger, Make T-Shirts (PHOTO)

Well, I guess the Chicago Tribune has some company in the CLASSLESS department. I thought most of the people in Chicago were behind Boston after the marathon bombings, well I guess that changes when we the Stanley Cup is involved. Just like the fool in Toronto, some simple minded idiots thought it was cute to mock #bostonstrong and the Boston marathon tragedy with #chicagostronger...

Late into the night, the Bruins drop game one

Twenty-three years ago, the Boston Bruins opened their Stanley Cup Finals against Edmonton by playing a triple-overtime game. I was still over a year away from even being born, but as a fan of the Boston Bruins, I know the story. The Bruins dropped game one at home in what ended up being the longest game in Stanley Cup Final history. By the time the game ended, everyone just wanted...

Boston Bruins: Torey Krug Not Letting Mistake Hurt His Confidence

Photo credit: Steve Babineau/Getty Images By Mitch Cole (@DirtyWaterBuzz) Bruins rookie Torey Krug spent the majority of the regular season playing for the Providence Bruins, Boston’s AHL affiliate, despite a one game appearance with Boston after being called up on an emergency basis the night Boston believed they had dealt Matt Bartkowski in a package for Jarome Iginla. After...

Mick Jagger Wishes Bruins Good Luck Before Stanley Cup Final Game 1 (Photo)

Mick Jagger and Jaromir Jagr have similar-sounding names, so it’s only right that the rock and roll legend would be rooting for the Bruins in the Stanley Cup Final. Or something like that. Whatever the reason, the frontman for the Rolling Stones tweeted his surprising support for the Bruins on Wednesday evening. He posted a picture of himself with a Bruins sweater along with the...

Stanley Cup Finals Game 1 Recap: Chicago Blackhawks edge Boston Bruins in Triple OT, 4-3

Going into this series, I always thought that there would be a couple of thrilling overtime games. Little did I know that game one would be a daunting 112 minutes of tough ice time before a winner would prevail.  This game was the fifth-longest game in Stanley Cup history, which is mind-boggling to think about. Game one of this series was exactly what most thought it would be, a...

Report: Nathan Horton Dealing With ‘Shoulder Subluxation,’ Suffered During Jarome Iginla Fight in April

It takes a lot for a hockey player to miss any ice time, especially when the ice time is during Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final. That’s why Bruins fans were worried to see first-line forward Nathan Horton leave the ice during a B’s power play on Wednesday night and never return. Horton made contact with Blackhawks defenseman Niklas Hjalmarsson in front of the Chicago net...

Lord Stanley Game One

Just a few things that caught my eye: I almost went to bed after the third Boston goal. What a mistake that would have been, eh?! Cue the comeback. Marian Hossa will do anything to win. He, Milan Lucic and Tuukka Rask were the best players on the ice through two OTs. Zdeno Chara was working his suffocating magic on Jonathan Toews all night long. Funny...

2013 Stanley Cup Final Preview

"Anything can happen" is usually the cliche you'll hear in the NHL playoffs and while this year's post-season had a few surprises, there weren't many monumental comebacks or huge upsets like last year, where the Stanley Cup Final featured a sixth seed versus an eighth seed. Instead, we have the top-seeded Chicago Blackhawks, who many predicted to win the cup...
