Max Pacioretty notched the game-winner at 17:42 when he scored with a backhander off the rebound of a shot by Raphael Diaz. Pacioretty has scored at least one goal in each of the Canadiens’ last five home games and leads the Canadiens with 11 goals. Defence first: The Bruins rank first in the NHL in goals-against but the Canadiens are No. 2 and Carey Price prevailed in a goaltending duel with Rask. Price made 32 saves as he posted his sixth consecutive win. He has allowed two or fewer goals in nine consecutive games.
