Florida Panthers veteran defenseman Ed Jovanovski underwent surgery to repair a broken hand Wednesday.
Jovanovski could be sidelined up to two months. He was hurt during a fight in Monday's game against Boston.
The 35-year-old Jovanovski has two goals and six assists in 43 games this season.
A former No. 1 overall pick of Florida in the 1994 draft, he had spent the previous five seasons with Phoenix before signing with the Panthers.
