The Florida Panthers are expected to make a switch at backup goaltender Monday, bringing Scott Clemmensen up from their American Hockey League affiliate while sending Jacob Markstrom to the minors.Clemmensen, who underwent knee surgery in September, made 31 saves in a rehabilitation assignment with the San Antonio Rampage over the weekend. He's on a one-way contract worth $1.5 million, making him a more viable option as the backup to Jose Theodore.Clemmensen filled the backup role admirably last season. The 34-year-old went 8-11-0 with a 2.62 goals-against average, .911 save percentage and a shutout in 31 appearances.Markstrom, 21, was sensational in limited action with Florida, going 2-2-1 with a 2.05 GAA and a .944 save percentage. Because he's on a two-way contract with the club, he can be sent to the AHL without having to clear waivers.
