Few among the Ducks are more popular than George Parros, whose work on and off the ice over the past six seasons has made him a fan favorite.
But the enforcer's future with the team is cloudy now that he's become a regular healthy scratch over the last six weeks and has an expiring contract.
Unlike three years ago when the Ducks talked to him and got him locked up midway through the season, the winger said there haven't been any conversations regarding a new deal.
"My focus has been on the season and that's all I've been worried about at the time," Parros said. "I haven't really spoken to anybody about that."
Parros was back in the lineup for the Ducks' 2-1 loss in the home finale against Edmonton on Sunday after being scratched in the previous four games and 10 times in a 12-game span.
All the healthy scratches leave the imposing winger frustrated, but Parros isn't creating any kind of stir and is the first to say he hasn't been effective when he's not throwing punches.
