Per Dirk Hoag of On the Forecheck, Nashville Predators winger Patric Hornqvist will return to the lineup this afternoon. Having scored just 30 goals, the Predators have the worst offense in the league (the Los Angeles Kings have also scored 30 goals but they’ve played in two less games). Hornqvist will be a welcome addition as he led the team in goals in both the 2009-10 and 2011-12 seasons. The Sollentuna, Sweden, native was nearly a point-per-game player for Nashville (four points in five games) before getting injured in Anaheim when Ryan Getzlaf fell on his left leg. He’s missed 10 games with the injury. The Predators are hosted by the Colorado Avalanche today in a special 2:00pm Central matinee start time. — PHOTO CREDIT: Sarah Fuqua (used with permission)
