The Illinois Lottery is currently running the slogan "Anything's Possible." To put this slogan to work, they sent Patrick Kane to work in the Blackhawks Store, surprising customers that had no intention of meeting one of the stars of the Chicago Blackhawks.
Kane shocked customers at the register, buzzed past confused onlookers with a mop and became a living model in the store's window display.
Give Kane credit. He sounded a bit awkward when he first came out of what appeared to be a supply closet, but he soon had a bit of fun, sweeping one customer into a corner, covering up a Jonathan Toews jersey with one of his own and surprising a man who was puzzled by the very realistic Patrick Kane in the display window.
With his assist on the Blackhawks’ goal in Columbus, Patrick Kane reached 400 points in his young career. He has been a superstar worthy of a number one overall pick, and it’s worth taking a moment to appreciate his career … Continue reading →The post Patrick Kane Reaches 400 Points appeared first on Committed Indians.
Forget St. Patrick’s Day, March 17th is St. Patrick Kane day in Chicago. You may remember the last Blackhawks promotion for the Illinois Lottery, where Patrick Sharp dressed up in a dog costume and surprised a fan with a Valentines Day gift basket. In their most recent promotion, they put Patrick Kane to work in the Blackhawks store, where puzzled customers and fans looked on as...
I’m pretty sure the shootout was created specifically for guys like Patrick Kane and Pavel Datsyuk. There’s not a whole lot a goalie can do on this, even though Kane lost control of the puck, he still dangled Bobrovsky. Bobrovsky has been playing really well for the past month, but he didn’t have a chance to stop Kane. The goal gave the Blackhawks another win in a shootout...
Patrick Kane set up Johnny Oduya's goal late in the second period and then got the decisive score in the shootout, leading the Chicago Blackhawks to a 2-1 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday night.
Corey Crawford stopped 29 shots to help the Blackhawks end a two-game losing streak after they set an NHL record by getting at least a point in each of their first...
The Chicago Blackahawks’ point streak was so much fun to watch I almost could not believe it. For a league where it is so difficult to achieve success season after season, or even within the season, there should be no attempt to discredit what the ‘Hawks managed to do with their 24-game point streak. Now that the party is over though, I’ve been able to focus more on what this...
After three days off, it took 65 minutes and a shootout for the Blackhawks to get back in the win column on Thursday night. Sergei Bobrovsky, who was named the Number One Star of the Week by the NHL last … Continue reading →The post Blackhawks Get Back On Track In Columbus appeared first on Committed Indians.
Chicago Blackhawks center Andrew Shaw and Columbus Blue Jackets forward Matt Calvert got into a pretty good fight during the first period of Thursday night's game at Nationwide Arena in Columbus. The linesmen let Shaw and Calvert go at it for a good 45 seconds before separating them as "Harlem Shake" played in the background.
Shaw and Calvert each got five minutes...
With their brief skid in the past, the Chicago Blackhawks are poised to begin another winning streak.
After bouncing back from two straight defeats to win the opener of a four-game trip, the Blackhawks look to hand the Dallas Stars a fourth consecutive loss Saturday night.
Chicago (22-2-3) didn't seem too concerned while dropping two in a row following its NHL-record 24-game...
The Blackhawks’ first two losses of the season still did well in Chicago TV ratings. In other news, the Rangers have routed the Devils and Islanders in New York, and the Gonzaga/St. Mary’s WCC title [...]
Although they're at nearly opposite ends of the Western Conference standings, the Chicago Blackhawks and Columbus Blue Jackets have had three competitive matchups this season.
The results, though, have continued to be one-sided.
The well-rested Blackhawks will try to avoid dropping a third straight game since their NHL-record start by extending their recent dominance over the...
Sergei Bobrovsky with an incredible save on Dave Bolland in OT tonight.
Blackhawks did win in the SO 2-1 but 'Bob' remained hot, stopping 39 shots.
