I’m pretty sure the shootout was created specifically for guys like Patrick Kane and Pavel Datsyuk. There’s not a whole lot a goalie can do on this, even though Kane lost control of the puck, he still dangled Bobrovsky. Bobrovsky has been playing really well for the past month, but he didn’t have a chance to stop Kane. The goal gave the Blackhawks another win in a shootout and at this point they can just put it on cruise control until the playoffs.

Mason Raymond faked Sergei Bobrovsky out of his jock for the lone shootout goal that gave the Vancouver Canucks a 2-1 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday night. Raymond, who has 12 points on the season, deked Bobrovsky with a spin-o-rama. He fooled the Columbus goalie so badly that he was looking at a completely open net when he completed the move. Though spin-o-ramas...

Are the Columbus Blue Jackets for real?
Lost in the Chicago Blackhawks’ incredible, record-setting 21-0-3 start to their season was the recent surge of the Columbus Blue Jackets who have reeled off five consecutive victories as well as are riding a nine-game consecutive point streak (5-0-4) to improve to 10-12-6, thus escaping the National Hockey League’s (NHL’s) basement which...

It wasn't easy. And I told you it wouldn't be. But the Hawks battled the Blue Jackets for 65 minutes last night before gaining a second point in the Gimmick.
It was a good, tough test to kick off the 4-game road trip, where the Hawks' remaining three opponents have more kill and style than Columbus, but likely less grit and effort.
