With a mustache that would make Ron Burgundy proud, Ottawa Senators head coach Paul MacLean is a rather recognizable figure.
So it caught many by surprise when a man who looked exactly like the MacLean appeared behind the Senators’ bench during a game against the Florida Panthers on Monday.
The prank took some serious effort on the part of the imposter, as he not only replicated the Ottawa coach’s signature ‘stache but also showed up to Scotiabank Place in a suit and tie.
The Panthers’ broadcast team had a good laugh at the situation, but arena management was apparently not so amused. A pair of ushers can be seen on the telecast removing the fake MacLean from the arena.
