Pavel Datsyuk’s dangles are borderline unfair. Tuesday night at Nashville with the Red Wings trailing 3-2 late in the third, Datsyuk decided that he didn’t need no stinkin’ teammates.
Pav took the puck out of the Wings’ zone, headed up the center of the ice where he met three Predators waiting at their blue line. Instead of the drop-and-chase, Datsyuk went magician-like and weaved through all four Preds and snuck one passed Pekka Rinne to knot the game at three.
The goal was Datsyuk’s eighth of the year, but didn’t end up being enough as Shea Weber scored in overtime to give the Preds a 4-3 win.
Ken Daniels and Larry Murphy of Fox Sports Detroit enjoyed this one a little bit. And you know it’s an impressive move when Datsyuk is celebrating his goal.
