Following that game, the Rangers announced that the Russian winger was done for the season due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament, a second degree sprain of his medial collateral ligament and a medial meniscus tear in his right knee. So, after just 43 games played, Frolov's season and brief career in New York were likely over and done with. Why?
