1. Sidney Crosby – Center – Pittsburgh Penguins
At this point in his career he is a shoe-in for a finalist spot even if he doesn’t deserve it, but let’s let’s be honest with ourselves, he always puts up the numbers to justify it. In just 17 games this season he is tied for the league lead in points with 23 and that number is despite him failing to find the back of the net...

Now it seems, opponents are having far too easy time with the black and gold. Basically, all...
It's hard to believe any team with Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin could have trouble scoring goals, but that's been the biggest problem for the Pittsburgh Penguins lately.
With a pedestrian offense and the absence of their No. 1 goaltender, the Nashville Predators' slump is much easier to explain.
The Penguins look to avoid their first four-game skid in nearly two...

Braydon Coburn dumps the puck into the Penguins zone from the Flyers zone and it bounces past several Penguins to negate any chance at icing. Robert Bortuzzo goes back to retrieve the puck in the corner, hesitates with it, and turns his...
Much to the delight of Pens' fans everywhere, the first month of the Philadelphia Flyers' campaign served as nothing more than a metaphorical pit of quicksand. From the early firing of Peter Laviolette to Claude Giroux's goal scoring ineptitude, it's hard to imagine more of an early season train wreck in The City of Brothery Love.
