The Pittsburgh Penguins are off to a perfect 2-0 start even with stars Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin still looking for their first goals of the season. Pittsburgh can improve to 3-0 for the first time in 18 years on Wednesday night in the home opener against Toronto. The Penguins are getting contributions from all over. Forward James Neal already has three goals and embattled defenseman Paul Martin had a goal in two assists in road wins over Philadelphia and the New York Rangers to start the season. Though Malkin hasn't scored, he does have four assists while Crosby has one helper so far. The Penguins will give fans vouchers for free food and all team merchandise will be half off during the first four games as an apology following the 119-day lockout that ended earlier this month.

Can the Penguins win the Stanley Cup?

The shortened season that the NHL has so “graciously” provided us, is going to provide for a quick, fast paced season, and one in which you had better have some star power providing some punch, or this season will fly right on by without you even getting a chance to gain some momentum. Usually a team at this point in a non-shortened season, is learning itself and figuring out...

Penguins F Tanner Glass and Rangers F Arron Asham engage in an epic middleweight fight

In the offseason Arron Asham left the Pittsburgh Penguins for the New York Rangers, and the Penguins signed Tanner Glass to replace him as their enforcer.  The two wasted no time getting acquainted in this epic middleweight fight that started two seconds into the game.My guess is that the two enforcers talked about this, perhaps to get the jitters out, and set up this fight.  After...

weep for it

I am recapping on the fly tonight because the Penguins are the only thing in the world that could possibly excite me the night before a 7AM dentist appointment. I won't be sticking around for the press to post their pics so you're just going to have to deal.  I'm sure Canada covered all of their photos in semen so I don't want to show you anything too lo-res...
