Pittsburgh Penguins left wing Chris Kunitz inked a two-year contract extension on Thursday. The deal will run through the 2013-14 season. Kunitz stepped up following the injuries to captain Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin last season. The 32-year-old Kunitz collected 23 goals and 25 assists in 66 games. This season, Kunitz has recorded one assist in four games for the Penguins, who will host the Washington Capitals on Thursday.
