Puck Drunk Love:
Once in a while a player will switch jersey numbers. This is usually done to accommodate new arrivals to the team. One such instance is Penguins left-winger Tanner Glass, who wore the number 10 until Pittsburgh acquired Brenden Morrow. Morrow was number 10 on the Dallas Stars, so Glass decided he would switch to number 15 to open up the jersey number so Morrow could wear it. Nice gesture, right? Well, what about all those fans who went out and bought Tanner’s jersey with 10 on the back and sleeves? Glass sent this tweet out to his fans: Any #Pens fans with "GLASS 10" jerseys that want to switch to "15"- Head to Consol PensGear and I'll pay for the switch. First 15 are on me! — Tanner Glass (@TGlass15) April 4, 2013 You can say what you want about the Pittsburgh Penguins, but this is a class move all the way. Most people wouldn’t even take into consideration what a jersey switch means to their fans who went out and bought their previous jersey. ...

Going into trade deadline day today you would be hard pressed to find a deeper roster than that of the Pittsburgh Penguins. Their first two lines could fill an All-Star team. Penguins GM Ray Shero added yet another player to the Penguins and once again did it without losing a roster player only a conditional 6th or 7th round pick.
30 year old, 5’11 left wing, Jussi Jokinen...
The Pittsburgh Penguins grabbed Jussi Jokinen from Carolina at the trade deadline, hopeful that the smooth-skating forward could fill in while superstar Sidney Crosby recovers from a broken jaw.
Jokinen certainly borrowed a page from Crosby's flair for the dramatic in his Penguins debut, scoring in regulation and then adding the only tally in the shootout as Pittsburgh edged...
On Wednesday night the Pittsburgh Penguins struggled mightily during their game against the New York Rangers. Penguins goalie Marc-Andre Fleury was clearly frustrated with the lack of help he was getting and when he went to slam his stick against the boards, the stick actually got caught between the boards and the glass. This obviously made him even more upset because he had...

Still, tough luck loss tonight, Rangers absolutely deserved to win. Only Fleury prevented tonight's game, especially in the third period, from turning tonight into a repeat of...
There was a collision in front of Fleury late in the second period. He somehow lost his glove. But that didn't phase him:
Almost wish a puck would have got through to see him make a save with his barehand. But that also could have meant a broken hand, so glad it didn't happen.

So the Penguins came out as flat as a pancake Wednesday. The penalty kill surrendered three goals in four New York opportunities. Evgeni Malkin again went goal-less and has six goals in 25 games. Kris Letang and Paul Martin sat.
If that wasnât bad enough, rumors floated Thursday that Sidney...
As if the Pittsburgh Penguins needed another way to win games. Today the Penguins have acquired Carolina Hurricanes shootout specialist Jussi Jokinen for a conditional draft pick. As part of the deal, the Hurricanes will most likely retain some of Jokinen’s salary. If they didn’t have to, the Penguins would have likely just claimed [...]
It simply may be a coincidence that the Pittsburgh Penguins have dropped both games without injured captain Sidney Crosby following their impressive 15-game winning streak.
The New York Rangers, meanwhile, hope it's more than just happenstance that they played so well with their newest additions.

The Rangers dropped a tough one to the Pittsburgh Penguins tonight, 2-1 in a shootout. The play of Marc-Andre Fleury was the only reason this game wasn’t a repeat of Wednesday night. A truly sensational performance. While the loss stings, securing 3 out of a possible 4 points in a home and home with the Pens is more than we could have hoped at the...
