Canyon of Blueshirts:
The 'Yotes waived Petr Prucha today. Before I continue, I'll admit that my opinions regarding Prucha are convoluted and blinded by my admiration for a guy who routinely gets the crap kicked out of him but never quits. This year he's fallen out of favor in the desert as he was held scoreless in 11 games. After a somewhat promising year last season in which he notched 13 goals, Prucha played himself out of the lineup in Pheonix. I'd be lying if I said I don't want to see a Prucha encore on Broadway. Where would he fit in the lineup? Beats me. I'd take him over Todd White or Erik Christensen. Do I still think Prucha can regain his scoring touch? Yeah, but that's likely an extremely biased and unwarranted opinion. My guess? Prucha gets claimed on waivers. If Christensen can have nine lives on the waiver wire, I'd guess that Prucha can too. It all comes down to confidence for him. If he ever regains it, he can be a useful player.
