Phoenix Coyotes Select Kyle Turris

The Phoenix Coyotes take their third pick and select Kyle Turris. They chose not to trade up but it was clear (albeit after the fact) that the Coyotes wanted Turris from the outset. I think they picked a solid guy, in both of playing ability and attitude. From the articles I've linked to and read, Turris will be an impact and character player. Plus, he doesn't take life too seriously. Even though it will be a couple of years before those of us in the Valley see him, when he does arrive, he should be an excellent asset to the organization. In the meantime, he'll be playing at the University of Wisconsin and the Phoenix Coyotes franchise just got healthier.
