Growing up in Sweden, if Jonas Jerebko was going to play any sport professionally, it was more than likely going to be hockey. But when you grow up to be 6'10" 235 pounds and you're not named Zdeno Chara, your career path won't lead you to the ice rink. Jerebko had the opportunity to show off his skating ability when he recently practiced with the Red Wings
The 24 year old Jerebko won't be confused for Pavel Datsyuk, but for a tree on skates, his showing was pretty impressive. I'd pay a dollar to see other gangily NBAers get on the ice and flop around. It'd bring a different meaning to the hoops term "broken ankles".
