Found May 28, 2013 on PenguinPoop:
Saturday, the Penguins & Bruins throw down in the first all black & gold NHL Eastern Conference Finals game since 1992 when the Penguins steamrolled through the Bruins on their way to winning their second Stanley Cup.  We’ve been around the block.  What happened in the 1990′s has nothing to do with these two teams today, other than Jaromir Jagr that is. We’ve put together an incredible group of writers to predict how the series will pan out and at the same time throw a little insight into what the Penguins will have to do to win. We have everything predicted from a sweep to 7 game series, all with a common theme when it comes down to handshake at the end. Six of the writers have followed the Penguins since the 1970′s, two of them have been season ticket holders since then.  The writers here at PenguinPoop have been to more Penguins games than any other group of writers on the internet. First up:  Horse - Season ticket holder since the 1970′s also a longtime PenguinPoop writ...

Happy Trails to MAF by @chrisrbarron

I am not a Marc Andre Fleury hater, indeed I defended Fleury after last year’s disastrous round 1 performance against the Flyers.  I made the case that as bad as the Pens D was in that series that it wouldn’t have mattered who was in net for the Penguins – no goalie could have survived that onslaught.  I didn’t necessarily take Shero’s trade and signing of Vokoun in the...

Polarizing Penguins

The NBA has the Lakers, MLB has the Yankees, the NCAA has the Fighting Irish, and the NHL has the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Penguins aren't placed on this list because of how hated they are throughout North America, alone. Penguins’ Offensive Depth, Power Play Will Put Bruins, Tuukka Rask to Test in Conference Final

This is certainly not going to be easy for the Bruins. That’s probably a little bit of an understatement, not to mention oversimplified, but the Bruins will certainly have their work cut out for themselves in the Eastern Conference final against the Penguins. The usually defensive-minded Bruins will have to take that prowess in their own end to a whole new level on Saturday night...

SERIES PREVIEW: 2013 Eastern Conference Finals. The Bruins offense.

Since we have a bulk of time here before this series gets under way, we're gonna look at all facets of the Bruins piece by piece. If you haven't realized it by now, today is the offense. The Bruins' offense is a similar model to the Pens', except they don't have Crosby or Malkin. There isn't a so-called superstar up front for the Bruins, but what...
