The Pittsburgh Penguins have waived winger Steve MacIntyre, according to multiple reports on Twitter. The 31-year-old played in 10 games and recorded no points and two penalty minutes after signing with the Penguins this offseason. MacIntyre will be sent to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the AHL if he is not claimed by another team, though there seems to be initial interest around the league in the enforcer. Penguins defenseman Simon Despres was called up last night to replace Paul Martin, and did so for about ten minutes. Despres was injured about halfway through the first period after missing a check and crashing into the boards. No updates on Despres’ status have been provided, but you’ll know as soon as they are.

All-Star roster announced, Neal snubbed, what a joke

The NHL released the top-six vote getters for this year’s All-Star game last week and surprise surprise four of them were Senators. James Neal's Diagnosis Reversed. Are Initial Examinations Too Hasty?

What a difference a couple days make. I'm not sure which is more bizarre, Neal's changing diagnosis or the bizarre Dustin Penner pancake...
