Kyle Okposo spent much of the year off the ice for the New York Islanders, suffering from a shoulder injury that occurred before the season began.

While with the Isles Okposo put five pucks in the net and dished out 15 assists to total 20 points in 38 games. He actually finished at plus three on the season.

Okposo is supposed to have one of the best shots on the team, but I really didn’t see that much out of him this season. I don’t know if he was still feeling the effects of the shoulder injury or if it was coming in halfway through the season, but if he wants to be the player he was projected to be he needs to start producing.

There is no doubt that Okposo has talent, the question is going to be whether he finds a way to show it on the ice and give the Islanders another 30 goal scorer.
