Ottawa Senators @ Pittsburgh Penguins Series Tied 0-0 NBCSN, CBC, RDS - 7:30 pm/et Consol Energy Center - Pittsburgh, PA Here it is: the series that the media and Eugene Melnyk so desperately wanted. The Pittsburgh Penguins and Matt Cooke, the man who absolutely-on-purpose-injured-Erik-Karlsson-and-forensic-evidence-will-prove-it-and-also-he-likes-to-talk-about-reporter-penises, will face off against the Ottawa Senators. The media sideshow is fun and all, but it's not going to win hockey games. Also, it's not fun. The Ottawa Senators allowed nine goals in five games against the Montreal Canadiens, and three of those goals were in game two. Craig Anderson has a .950 save percentage. He's not Evgeni Nabokov. The Pittsburgh Penguins will need to be better than they were against the New York Islanders if they want to win. Much better. Last meeting that counted: April 22, 2013. Penguins won 3-1. What we said in our recap: Playing for something, playing for nothing, it doesn't matter. The Penguins road show pulled into Ottawa and made Sens' fans clench their buttholes tighter in terms of Ottawa getting into the dance. The Pens have lost just four games (and only one home game) since January 27th. Somehow they are on a 7-game winning streak. When no one was looking, Tomas Vokoun has turned in a 13-4 up to this point, and also turned in another solid performance in this game. The Pens got goals from Dustin Jeffrey, Jarome Iginla, and Tyler Kennedy. A defense without its top two puck-moving d-men shut the door. Douglas Murray was named the second star of the game. Seriously. Know Your Enemy: Silver Seven What they're saying: That third pairing looks tasty, doesn't it? On to the prediction. There's nothing but bad news here. Things do not go well for the Senators. They throw absolutely everything they can at Tomas Vokoun and he stonewalls them. The team's best chance comes in the form of a 2-on-1 with Jean-Gabriel Pageau and Cory Conacher. Conacher feeds Pageau a sweet pass, and Pageau one-times it perfectly only to see a diving Vokoun get a piece of it at the very last second. Pittsburgh Penguins News: The Pens will try to ignore the off-ice junk. Kris Letang is good. So is Sidney Crosby. Ottawa Senators News: Ten things the Senators need to do to win. The Senators are confident. They're also underdogs. Pittsburgh Penguins Lines: Pascal Dupuis - Sidney Crosby - Jarome Iginla Chris Kunitz - Evgeni Malkin - James Neal Brenden Morrow - Brandon Sutter - Matt Cooke Craig Adams - Joe Vitale - Tyler Kennedy Brooks Orpik - Paul Martin Kris Letang - Matt Niskanen Deryk Engelland - Douglas Murray Tomas Vokoun Ottawa Senators Lines: Milan Michalek - Kyle Turris - Daniel Alfredsson Guillaume Latendresse - Mika Zibanejad - Jakob Silfverberg Colin Greening - Zack Smith - Chris Neil Cory Conacher - Jean-Gabriel Pageau - Erik Condra   Erik Karlsson - Marc Methot Chris Phillips - Sergei Gonchar Eric Gryba - Jared Cowen Craig Anderson Do It. Go Pens.
