The broadcast crew was puzzled by this call. Francois St. Laurent offered a mute explanation, thanks to his inability to work his microphone. The Blues player involved, Adam Cracknell, is tied up and shoved toward the net. The puck caromed off his skate into the net. Nothing in his replay suggests the puck was directed into the net in an illegal fashion -- since the impetus of Cracknell's leg motion came from the defender's push. And certainly the was not advanced illegally with a hand.
